Has Madeleine ever heard Billie Holiday's first record of her own "Billies Blues" backed by, among others, the recently departed Artie Shaw. I'd love to hear her do that even with the same arrangement Another great singer that Madeleine brings to mind is Etta Jones. I plan to be present next month when Madeleine will be part of Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion from Town Hall. If she does "Billie's Blues, she'll make my day, week, month, year, decade.
