Listening to an interview with John Major on Radio 2 a few months back, I was horrified to find I shared his musical tastes. Asked to pick a record to play he chose a singer I'd never heard of - Madeleine, and they played Dreamland.

Within a week I had both albums. No doubt most fans are fed up with Billie Holiday comparisons, but as someone who loves Billie Holidays music, I love the similarity in M.Ps voice and her choice of material - esp. "I look around."

The show at Warwick Arts Centre was superb , i got the feeling the four of them would have played to an empty room, they seemed to be so up for it and engrossed in the music. Have to say I've been to many concerts over the years - only remember B.B.King and Van Morrisson sending me home with the same exhilarating feeling - and that was on one of their good nights.

Any more Madeleine material available other than the two albums?

Bit worried about the John Major bit though. Hope I don't start fancying Edwinna Currie as well.
