I'm not aspiring nor hopeful. Kind of frustrated drummer guitarist.
Frustrated at guitar cos I can't read music. Frustrated at drums cos i havn't got any. Interesting to read about the street jazz music scene (Madeleine in Paris). Bon Chance! |

I knew Madeleine in Paris. I used to busk there off and on in the late 80s, early 90s. She was a rather scruffy duckling who used to sing with Danny Fitzgerald's Lost and Wandering Jazz and Blues Band and they used to tour and play the streets.I learnt that she had been doing it since she was 13. She used to hang out in the Atlas and the legendary Mazet in Rue St.Andre des Arts. Her big advantage is that she sings fluently in French and with great feeling for it deriving from the romance of those streets.
