Hey guys I have really enjoyed reading your views and experiences from Madeleine's concerts in Europe - I noticed that some forum members (Pete and Luce I think) saw Madeleine at the Cheltenham Jazz Fest on May 1st. What did y'all think? Incidentally Lonesome Pine - your photos from Dublin are fantastic. How great to be that close up and get such great images. Eager to hear your news from that side of the ocean. Hey guys
I am sorry it has taken me a while to get to responding to your post Daisy, I have been travelling for work. This month I can hardly believe that I have had the privilege of seeing the fabulous Ms. Peyroux twice, at her show in Birmingham on 15th April and again last week at opening the Cheltenham Jazz Festival here in the UK. Both shows were in my humble opinion brilliant. I first saw Madeleine perform last year in London at the Shepherds Bush Empire. It was a tremendous performance. However, since then Madeleine's shows have just got bettter and better. I truly think she is one of the most outstanding vocalists. Personally I love her performances. Her singing is sublime as ever, her delivery is sublte and the musicianship impeccable. Her new repertoire from Half the Perfect World is stunning live. Throughout both her shows Madieleine engaged warmly with the audience with charming and humourous commentary between songs. I love her. The Centaur was an interesting venue - it is part of a conference facility at the Cheltenham race course, so I thought Birmingham was a nicer setting. Even though this was the last gig on Madeleine's European Tour she and the band were great. I am sorry I have no fabulous images to share, I was too far back to make it worth taking photos. And I failed to note the set list. Next time. Hope to hear more from you guys in the States once Madeleine starts her summer tour. Best wishes to one and all. Cheers, Jules. |

Hello everyone. I'm a newcomer, and would love to see MP live. I think she
has a fantastic voice and love her records. I got into her music through my other favourite singer Clare Teal - who I know is a big Madeleine fan. Does anyone know when she'll be touring in this country again? |
