Hi Guys
It has been a while since I have been on the forum and it is great to see so much sharing of information and lively exchange. I had the joy of being at Madeleine's gig in Birmingham and have just read this great article in the Guardian. Ian Gittins writes: "Listening to Madeleine Peyroux glide through Tom Waits' ebullient (Looking For) the Heart of Saturday Night at Birmingham's Symphony Hall, it occurs to me that I just might be watching the purest interpretive jazz-blues singer alive today." He says it all. I couldn't agree more!! It is available on line too. Here is the link enjoy reading it. http://music.guardian.co.uk/jazz/story/0,,2064070,00.html I have just booked my tickets for the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and can't believe I get the chance to see Madeleine perform again within weeks of last seeing her. I think we have been a little spoilt here in the UK. Have a great day - Jules |

Great article Jules, and thanks for sharing it. I envy you getting to see Madeleine again so soon. I would have no hesitation in going to see her again if I had the chance. Enjoy Cheltenham and do please report back.
