Bit of googling - the song was written by Chick Endor and Charlie Farrell and you can get the full lyrics of this and all the songs on http://www.alwaysontherun/madeleine.htm

I've got tickets to hear Madeleine at the Pizza Express in London on November 14th - can't wait

Great song -but she didn't write it  -it dates back to the 20's

I believe the song may have been 'was i ?' from Madeleine's first album, Dreamland.

On Monday, October 18th, I saw Madeleine perform at Yoshi's in Oakland, CA at the 8 pm show.  Someone in the audience requested to hear a song that Madeleine had wrote a very long time ago.  She mentioned something about being 16 at the time.

The song had something to do with staying out late with a boy and getting in trouble by my mom and did I like it yeah etc.  It was very cute.

Any help with the lyrics would be greatly appreciated!
