Daisy,
According to the Youtube help page; you can't download clips. But I don't think that You tube is going to shut down soon. Here's what Youtube says: "No, currently you can't download our videos to your computer. YouTube's video player is designed to be used within your browser as an Internet experience. As an alternative to downloading, you can temporarily save videos to watch later by adding them to your QuickList. If you'd like to save them more permanently, login and click "Save to Favorites" under the videos you'd like to keep." Hope that helps Carson |

Hey Do any of you "YouTubers" and techno whizzkids know how to download video files from YouTube. I just read in the papers today about Viacom suing YouTube and Google and I want to save the cool Madeleine clips before the site is threatened. Any ideas? Thanks, Daisy |

Madi sang "Don't Cry Baby", this song, on the "Careless Love" CD.
The lyrics to "Don't Cry Baby" are indeed written by Bessie Smith. It's not on the CD that was released by Wm Galison "Got You On My Mind" although Bill Galison is an accomplished guitar player as well as other instruments, especially the harmonica. Edited by saramadi |

Hey Carson
Great links of Madi singing. Like Seb I love love love You Tube. It is such a great way to enjoy Madeleine's fabulous style and seeing her perform live- especially when you don't have the privilege of making it to a show that often. Anyway I beleive the correct title of the Bessie Smith song is 'Don't Cry Baby'. Have a good day. Lili |

The first MP video is up on YouTube. This one says"
madeleine Peyroux plays "Baby Please don't Go" 04:08 Another excellent vid of madeliene peyroux with william galison on guitar and dave richards on bass But I think the song is really ""Honey Please don't Cry" which Bessie Smith did back in the day. In any case, she sings it great. by the way, the sound on this is almost CD quality. pretty good for a video camera- wonder if he had external microphones. any info on this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvKgRxEm_gA |

Anyone see this on YouTube? Madi seems to be playing in a little club
with two musicians, bass and guitar. The Sound is a little weak but the band plays great. Anybody know where this was? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPUIjOt7_Sw |
