Glad you enjoyed the video footage from Jools's Hootenay. Jools Holland is a fabulous performer and his big band create a great setting for Madeleine's voice. I thought they were great renditions of "A little Bit" and "Careless Love". The sound is similar to the recording Madeleine did with Toots Theilman on "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea". I wonder if Madeleine will record more songs like this? Here are a few more links from the UK that forum members may enjoy. The first is of a review of her show at the York Opera House. The reviewer clearly loved Madeleine's performance describing it as "sophisticated, enchanting and captivating". http://www.bbc.co.uk/northyorkshire/content/articles/2006/12 /11/ kevins_madeleine_peyroux_review_feature.shtml The second is of an article that appeared in YOU magazine of the Sunday Mail newspaper here in the UK. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/you/article.html? in_article_id=425533&in_page_id=1908 Hope you enjoy these too. Cheers, Pete |

Thank You Pete, I was hoping this would occur. This is a real treat. The big band sound is just fabulous. The wa-wa sound created by the brass in Careless love is a good reason why it is important to go to hear Ms. Madeleine live. She sang with the band as an equal member not as soloist with the band backing her up. That show "Jools Holland's New Years Hootenay must be a great show. Happy New Year - Ron Kobe
